About me

Tim Chin – world ranked trick shot player – was born and raised in the desert heat of Richland, WA, USA in 20th November, 1981.
Tim is nick named as “The Dragon”.
While not playing and learning I like soccer, photography and bicycling.
I started playing pool in 2003, when noticed that I couldn’t make a ball playing regular pool. And I figured if I could learn how to set the balls up right, then I’d never miss!
Truly, guys, I don’t like cars, because I like bicycles. My preferred is Novara Big Buzz, zero pollution!
I was born and raised in the desert heat of Richland, WA, USA. I grew up playing soccer, tennis, violin, piano, and karate. By the time I went to college at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, USA, I only played soccer, but I also began singing in an a cappella group. I also started to play pool here, but only for my first few months before I decided to study harder. I picked up a cue again a few years later in 2003, this time to learn trick shots. It was a lot more fun for me so I’ve stuck with it.
Now I am at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, USA where my soccer career is dwindling due to injuries, my singing is limited because I’m not good enough, I’ve picked up cycling a bit in order to stay fit, and my trick shot career is starting to blossom. In the meantime, I have a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering to work on.
Last book I’ve read - "Running the Table".
Countries I’ve been to: USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Mozambique.
Tim is ranked 20th trick shot artist in the world.
Cues I’m using is Crown Cues, McDermott and Stinger.
Sponsors - Crown Cues.
